Brittle star spawning

Tom won a Blackbeard's Cruises liveaboard trip

I went for a dive on a full moon in April, and when I descended I noticed that there were brittle stars and sea cucumbers everywhere on the sandy bottom.  They were all standing straight up, and then I noticed that they were all releasing eggs and sperm. This photo reminded me of  "War of the worlds".
