The story: We have been diving this side multiple times over a few day period because it is very quiet and had lots of macro subjects. I found this Ribbon eel on the end of a dive in around 10 meters of water. He was quite curious and stayed half out of his living hole for long periods and came close to the camera repeatedly. The next day we returned to this site but there was a strong current so I went to the ribbon eel where I could avoid the current and took my time to get this photo the way I imagined it. I composed the photo and let the eel do the moving around. I used a wide aperture for the bokeh effect which works so well with these beautifull colours.
