The Story:  I quite often come to dive at night in the area of Bakong pier and on October 11 I was lucky – there was not a single large ship near the pier. The base of the pier is located at a depth of 17 m and that’s where I met a lone squid, which was resting near some kind of metal fragment. Near the pier, teenagers are engaged in spearfishing every evening, and the squid have become extremely shy. So I stopped and tried to breathe evenly and constantly gave him time to get used to. After 5-7 minutes, the squid itself became interested in the light of my flashlight and swam up to me at the distance of the shot. Trying to hardly move or breathe, I took about 30 shots. During processing, I noticed that the squid shimmers with all colors like a Christmas tree. I decided to enhance this effect in post-production and on Christmas Eve this photo got a lot of enthusiastic comments …
