“Father’s Day“
The Story:
There are a couple of things male Tomato Clownfish are great at… Famously nipping (hard!) at your fins and hands, and being a tireless father while taking care of his eggs, by constantly cleaning and aerating them with their fins until they are ready to hatch. Because they do so very quickly, I decided to pick a spot, frame the shot, and just wait for him to come back to do his work, hoping to correctly time the shutter. It took a few attempts, but I managed to capture him appearing to give his babies a little kiss, which was somewhat fitting since this image was actually taken on Valentine’s Day.
