Camera System
The camera that was used to take the photo is the Canon 5D Mark III which is an amazing DSLR camera (Read our review of the Canon 5D Mark III Camera). The camera was encased inside the Sea & Sea Canon 5D Mark III Housing. It is a small and compact aluminum housing with excellent ergonimics. As for the lens, the Sigma 70mm F2.8 DG Macro Art Lens was used with Inon Z330 Strobes with Snoot to perfectly illuminate and highlight the subject..
The Shot
Initially, with the guide and my companion, we selected the diving spot before embarking on the descent in search of captivating subjects. Suddenly, the guide drew our attention to a magnificent seahorse specimen. We approached cautiously in order not intimidate the subject.
As the subject remained unperturbed by our presence, we patiently waited for it to assume the ideal position. Conducting some test shots, I adjusted the lighting and optimized my camera until achieving what, in my judgment, constituted the perfect balance of light and composition.
I am thoroughly pleased with the final result and delighted that you liked it.
