Monterey Shootout:The 30th Annual Monterey shootout held by Northern California Underwater Photography Society September 9th-11th in Monterey, California. The shootout includes a film festival, shooting competition, seminars and more. Entry fee is $70-$85 USD for 6 entries.

Epson World Shootout: This shootout has been extended to last for the entire month of August!  Categories include Dive Destination Portfolio, Wide-Angle, Macro & Super-Macro, Ship or Plane Wreck (Black & White), Underwater Environmental Conservation, Fresh Water, and Amateur. You can take photos anywhere in the world. Hurry, registration ends July 30! Entry fee is $65 USD for 3 entries in a single category.

Australasia Challenge:  The 5th Underwater Festival™ 2011 (UF11) will be the biggest one yet. With the tagline 'The Australasia Challenge' it will incorporate an Australasia-wide simultaneous photo and video shootout competition like no other with over $100,000 in prizes.  Mark these days in your calendar - you have 10 days to shoot - from the 2nd to the 11th of September 2011. Entry fee is $55 USD for 5 images, $11 for each additional.
