
Shooting still photos with strobes has long been the norm for underwater photography. In recent years, however, video lights have become very powerful, packed with strong lumen counts in small, affordable bodies. We’re even seeing COB lights begin to replace traditional LED light arrays.
There are several benefits in using constant lighting (i.e. your dive or video lights) instead of strobes for shooting still photos, but there are also some important cons.
