In-water surf photography a fun way to show the energy of the ocean breaking on land, as no two waves are the same. A discipline that started with images of surfers slotted inside the barrel, surf and wave photography has moved to include empty waves and even abstract images blending the shifting water and light. No matter what style of surf photography you pursue, the techniques, safety, equipment and camera settings remain very similar.
