My wife & I just returned in late October from the Gate 1 , 15 day tour of Egypt. This included a 7 day Nile "cruise" on a river boat , and a brief stay at Hurghada on the Red Sea (a much needed relaxation at the end).
Our conclusion was that the tour was SPECTACULAR. While we have usually traveled with the details under our own control , we would have lost a great deal without the excellent guidance of our tour manager/guide Ihab Kamel. Ihab has a masters degree in Archaeology and he could add to the significance of the many sites with his own knowledge.
We added to the basic tour with the optional Abu Simbel , and the visit to the Bedouin village at the end - both well worth the time and cost.
We have traveled with Gate 1 in the past and have never been disappointed.
