Doing the Caribbean Explorer this coming weekend, and need assistance on taking some photos on night dives. Using Canon G12 in OEM housing, with Inon S2000 strobe and Sola Photo 800 red focus light. Would use the same F stop, shutter speed as daytime stills? Never have shot digital still photos at night (always took my underwater camcorder on night dives)

Go to the smallest aperture you can (highest f-stop) for best depth of field. Shutter speed should match the strobe (1/160 sec?). Lowest ISO on your camera. Then blast the heck out of the subject with your strobe to expose the image. If your strobe isn't strong enough, you can open the shutter a little or go to a higher ISO.

At night, you have no ambient light. All the light is coming from the strobe.
