Monday was at Catalina Island.
Here's a few shots I got, hope you enjoy them. Taken with my D300/Tokina 10-17mm, 2 Inon Z240's at F10-F13, 1/125th, ISO 200

#1, Kelp formations

#2, Seeing my reflection

#3

#4

#5

#6

#7, Jelly in the sky. F10, 1/320th, ISO 200

#8, A Fisheye view of Catalina

#9, A world of kelp. Next time I might want to try a less direct strobe position, or turn them off.

Love the armony of the #1... very warm...
Like the #7 also.
Did you use a dome? I´m not very used to dSLR, but with the 10-17mm couldn´t you got enought DOF to focus both foreground and background? Specially on #4 and #5.
But they look very fine too that way.

thanks alot Miguel
yes, I used a dome. (you have to with a fisheye lens). When you focus very close to the dome and get a larger magnification ratio, the depth of field becomes relatively small. I shot at F10, I'll try it again next time at a much smaller aperture like F18 (which will give me a larger DOF) to see how it looks.

Great photos! I particularly like #5, as it almost looks like the "hermi" is flying! And who, by the way, is diving without gloves!? I'm sure there's a good reason! My hands are numb just looking at that picture.

No gloves? That's Keri Wilk - who also was the speaker at LAUPS last night. He doesn't like how gloves restricts his use of the camera.
