How can I improve macro shots?

Hi there,
am using a new macro lens for Canon G12 fromDyron (67mm) , i bought it from bluewater shop
am still practicing to get good shots , i would like to have some advices regarding the picts with the macro lens
for the Gopi pict i attached the original pict and a copy of the same pict in HDR format , i would like to know what do u think about it
for the gopi pict info i used
F/6.3
1/100s
AV mode
flash on , internal flash
ISO200
macro on
EXP -1
for the squat shrimp i used
F/6.3
1/60s
AV mode
flash on , internal flash
ISO160
macro on
EXP -1
am seriously thinking to get an external strobe but still i don't know what to get INON S2000 or sea and sea ys-01

Hello Amr,
I really like the original goby shot. Nice diagonal composition, nice blue water color, and it looks like the eyes are in focus (hard to tell with such a small jpg file).
Those cryptic shrimp can be hard to isolate. I would suggest, when possible, to shoot "up." Not necessarily to get a blue water background, but to give the viewer a sense of being at eye level with the critter.
