Gorgeous! I didn't know there were whale sharks near Dumaguete. Which dive site? Nice job not amputating any of the fish.

Whale Sharks, I was told, are not to common in this area. Maybe every three to five years. There were 5-8 along the shoreline of Cebu island in about 35 feet of water. Mostly in the 20 ft size range, so not real big. Most of my shots were while snorkeling but some with a tank as well.
As you know the local "Marine Parks" get a fee per diver. So, once the Whale Sharks showed up the local park paid the fishermen to feed the Sharks and keep them in the area and attract more dive boats. The Sharks were like puppies nudging the little skiffs for food. Quite a sight.
