Giant Pacific Octopus!

So we have these all over the place up here - but they're often quite elusive, and you're only able to catch a glimpse of a few suction cups or an eye or something. It's unusual to have them just sitting out in the open! Very well camouflaged though.

Awesome, Janna! I want to see a GPO one day as well! I'll be diving in Resurrection Bay in Seward Alaska this July and I know it's a long shot that I'll see one but I hope to hit the jackpot! Otherwise I'll have to come up your way to see one .

octopus are among my favourate animals in the ocean. when I started to dive I stopped eating them. they are such fantastic underwater creatures. I am jelleaous.....good shot
