question nex 5 housing

Both are very nice housings with full access to the controls of the NEX-5. The Nauticam has an adapter to use the old Nikonos wet lenses but that may not be too exciting on a cropped sensor. What do you particularly want to know about?

It would be possible to use Inon UWL28AD with dome
thank marcelo
Neither housing is suited for the Inon dome. Both have their own dome ports for use with the wide angle lenses and neither is designed to use the Inon.

I would buy the Nauticam but that is based on my owning the Nauticam for the 7d. The real point is that there is no photo you could take with the Aquatica that you could not take with the Nauticam and vice versa. If you can go play with housings then you should take a look at them side by side. Also price is always a question, and the Aquatica is $200 less than Nauticam.
You can not go wrong with either one.

Its not so much a question of the housing being able as much as of the camera type not being able to cope properly with this type of Wide converter.
This wide angle adapter is for compact camera with built in zoom lenses, the Sony Nex-5 has interchangeable lenses much like its larger sibling and these do not work well because this adapter was never designed for this type of camera, while the choice of lense of the NEX-5 is somewhat narrow for the moment, (you can trust Sony to fill that void pretty soon), one thing they have is the Pan Cake 16mm and a fisheye adapter and this is a really neat combination for wide angle also the 18-55mm fare well as a go around general purpose lenses (you can also put a diopter on this lens for better close up).
