Need help for locating best pier dives. Disappointed in Bonaire 2009 when the favorite night dive on the town pier was no more... then got news that they closed the DuCoMi pier in Dumaguete, Philippines. Can anyone suggest an interesting pier covered with growth to attract macro subjects ?

Larry, the piers in Adelaide are amazing, such as the Rapid Bay Jetty and Edithburgh Jetty. And you can find nudibranchs, and leafy sea dragons there!

Thanks gents, looks like I need to return to The Land Down Under and dive these piers. Last time in Adeliade I traveled the wine country.

You'll probably have to make a trip to the West (Perth) this time. Also the Navy Pier up in Exmouth is fantastic. You can even see it for yourself from the following site as they have installed an underwater video cam under the jetty.

Second that, cyberon! Navy Pier is fish soup with quality fish! Plus you can wave to your peeps on the webcam! Not to be missed.

If you find yourself in Melbourne, you might want to have a look under Blairgowrie Pier - some really cool macro subjects under there. The piers at Rye and Flinders are also options.
There aren't any pier dives in NSW that spring to mind at the moment..... the Gravel Loader at Bass Point (Wollongong) can be OK.
Cheers, A.
