Well I finally got the new camera wet. Kimbe to Milne Bay on MV Golden Dawn. Incredible range of stuff from tiny critters to a manta cleaning station in 25 feet. More sharks left alive than anywhere else in Asia. And vis that is almost always endless. High praise for the destination and the operator, Craig deWit.
Will post camera feedback/dramas under another heading, but here's some pics:
Cockatoo waspfish - Av, 1/60, F5.6 ISO 100, strobe sTTL, Inon UCL-165AD
CFWA fun - Manual, 1/125, F5.6, ISO 100, strobe manual, Inon UFL-165AD
Periclimenes shrimp on Chromodoris sp. -
Av, 1/60, F5.6, ISO 100, strobe sTTL, Inon UCL-165AD
Another photog w/G10 was having good luck with "Underwater" mode, so I gave it a go.
Grey Reef shark at 65 feet, 1/100, F2.0 ISO 80, no wet lens, no strobe
Sure is fun, innit?

Thanks for the kind words. I had good subjects to shoot in mainly clear water. Still managed to take dozens of lousy shots for every good one!
