Giant Black Sea Bass

We had some fantastic encounters with Giant Black Sea Bass last week.

they can be difficult to photograph, but luckily I had several close encounters during a 90 minute dive. They move quite fast, so you usually only get 1 shot at close range if they decide to make a close pass.

nice shot and really giant fish...how deep that was because I see diver on floor..

These photos were taken at 50ft depth.

your right Stan, they do look a little prehistoric in these photos!

Margaret, you are correct, they are from this past weekend at Catalina island.

It's always such a thrill to see Giant Sea Bass! They're so huge compared to all of the other fish around, and they move through the water with great ease. The photos turned out great! Thanks for sharing!
