Winter in Perth

Heading off to Tulamben in Bali in a few weeks so I should get some good stuff then

Yes, it was pretty cold in the river as well and I'm certainly looking forward to warm tropical waters next week together with sediment free crystal clear water.

Sorry for the late reply been busy

Water temps in Perth are:

Summer (Nov - Mar) usually between 22 - 24 degrees Celsius - I usually dive in either a one piece 3mm wetsuit or a 5mm long johns with a long sleeve shark skin top and I am more than comfortable.

Winter (Jun - Sep) water temp is around the 14 - 16 degree Celsius mark - I have to wear a two piece 5mm wetsuit and after 50 min or so I am really feeling the cold.

The months in between the water is either warming or cooling down.

I would like to get a decent drysuit but they cost so much here in Australia that it is way down on my to get list (but maybe one day ) plus due to my 'athletic build' I have to get everything custom made
