Hi everyone, here a shot I took in Little Cayman during the Digital Shootout, its taken with a Sigma 4.5mm Circular Fisheye in a 6" dome with the dome shade removed (less it shows up in the picture as well
) camera used was a Nikon D300s in a Aquatica housing and a pait of Ikelite DS-160 on what eneded up being too short a arm lenght, a pair 4x8x8" or even 4x11x11" arms intead of the 4x11 arms used would have made lighting easier and more efective (it did help on subsequent dives). On things to get acustomed to is shooting downward, this is where this lens is most impressive, when you have a hint of blue surounding the edges of the images frame, shooting it with the standard approach ended up disapointing as it looks like I took a mat cutter and cut out a round mat for one of my Tokina 10-17mm shots. Its a fun, if somewhat limited application, kind of lens.

hey jean - welcome to our forums.
This photo is really nice! I've been meaning to try out one of these lenses for a while. I'll just need to borrow the lens and remove the shades from my dome port. I think it will definitely produce some unique photos.

I like it a lot. Is the 6 inch port the new Mini port?
Come diving in Curacao and I will borrow the lens.

Actually it's not, the 6" is a port that has been around for quite a while, on this one you can remove the dome shade, on the 4" its integrated so it can be used with this lens, unless you like seeing your shade in the picture

hey jean, how come you feel that is has limited application?
btw, there's a great photo taken with a circular fisheye lens on our fisheye lens page.
