Just spent a week with two friends and their new G11s.
Did you have diopters with the macro?
They shot on M with macro (the flower), SS 125, f8 and adjusted flash output as needed. They also tried Servo Auto focus.
For first time users they got some nice shots, but live view macro focusing was sometimes frustrating especially when they
and/or they subject were moving.
You have to zoom a little with the wet diopters to avoid vignetting but with out the diopters, they just got closer.
I hope to get them to post a few shots.
