Today I received an email from the editor of WDCS magazine which included a look at the cover. To celebrate their 50th edition they used one of my images from Tonga featuring Southern Hemisphere Humpback whales. I am honored that wanted to use my image.

Aloha Todd,
Thanks! I just had the chance to check you web site. I love your photography!
I would love even more getting the chance to go on a trip together. Seems were like minded and share the passion for u/w photography.

That sounds like fun! I have never shot whales so I'm looking forward to that day.
We should try and plan something.

I am just starting to organize next seasons whale trips and have the following in mind. I have been to Vavau five seasons in a row. I love it. At the same time I am ready for something new. Last year Mark Strickland and I tried to do a trip together on the Naia but she ended up staying in Fiji.
In 2011 she will go to Tonga and were interested in the Sept 2-12th trip. The Naia takes as many as 16 people and has two large zodiacs and the main boat to whale watch from. It would be good to have like minded people on the boat.
I always do two back to back trips because with young kids I dont travel as much. So, Sept 13 starts a land based trip in Vavau. Its a 10 night trip with 8 water days. This trip is limited to five people. Your welcome to join either adventure.
Doug
I really enjoy your photography!
