Picture was taken in a lagoon near the Canyon dive site, Dahab , Egypt.
I cant get enough of these Jevel Groupers. Arent they a beauty ?
I personally have stopped eating fish due to overfishing of the oceans. If I would continue to eat fish I certainly would support the over fishing of the oceans. During my worldwide travels I have realized that more and more restaurants in tourist centers offer Reef Fish for consumption. It must be mainly becouse the commercial fishery finds it more and more difficult to catch enough fish. I dont know who it is, but they have started to catch the reef fish and if they are missing in the reefs we all know what is going to happen.......

Looks like a Coral Cod with batteries, on steroids.

I think one of the reasons lion fish have taken off in the Caribbean is because of over fishing of the natural reef predators. There are no Nassau or Tiger groupers to speak of here in Curacao.
