Question on review of Olympus E-PL1

Hi Scott, Thanks for the review of the e-pl1 and your whole website. Very helpful and appreciated.
I know you mentioned that the sync speed was not great in your analysis of the E-PL1. Do you think the 1/160 sync speed is a limiting factor for U/W?
I have Ikelight equipment (housing & strobes) for my G9 now but since Ikelight is waiting on the sidelines at this point to get a E-PL1 housing, I am thinking of getting the 10-bar housing and a pair of Inon s-2000s to get it underwater. Since I have the 17mm lens as well as the 14-42 zoom, I was also thinking that I should hang onto my wet lenses (UWL-100 & UCL-165M67) and use them with the flat port that comes with the 10Bar housing.
Your thoughts?

A faster sync speed is always better, imho. I often shoot at 1/320th, but that is at ISO 200. At ISO 100 that is equivalent to 1/160th, so I think you are ok with the sync speed of the E-PL1 except when shooting into the sun for sunballs, sunbursts - then you definitely want a faster sync speed but you'd also need very strong strobes. So unless you are shooting for magazines I personally don't think it's a big deal.

Does the 10bar housing support both of those wet lenses for sure? if so, that's great.
