Hi,

I am new to underwater photography. I have an Olympus Mju Tough 8010 and Nikon D90. I would like to get advice from all you guys whether should I start with Olympus Tough 8010 and later upgrade to use the Nikon D90 as UW camera OR straight away use the Nikon D90? I would also like to know whether the S & S YS110a is suitable for both the camera? Do I need 1 or 2 strobes?
Thanks :D

That si a huge leap you are talking about. I suggest you invest in an advanced camera like a G11 or S90 from Canon or perhaps the Oly ELP-1. These should get you underwater at between 1,000 dollars and 3,500 dollars which is about 1/3 to 1/2 of the entry fee for a dSLR.

wow, you are asking about 2 opposite ends of the spectrum.

That's like saying "I'm going out on a date, should I pick her up in a dented Pinto or a new Ferrari?" Of course the Ferrari, lol and of course you should use the Nikon D90 right away if you can! This is one of the easiest questions I've ever answered :)

Ys-110a will be good with either camera. one strobe is good, two is better.

I agree with Scott.
You already have a D90. If your serious about underwater photography that's a great camera for you.

Thanks guys for the advice. Thats really help to go serious into UW photo.
I have some rather stupid questions.. :? I just bought 2 2nd hand YS110a strobes. May I know what kind arms do I need. I am in the mist of purchasing the Ikelite housing for the D90. The D90 come with basic zoom lens 18mm- 105mm. Do you all suggest me to get any new lens? Thanks
