Blur on sharks and Kelvin Q

Ok a few quick questions 1) Blur on sharks - how can I get that - doing the shark dives in Fiji from Sat and thinking trying a few head sharp rest blurred - also the colour temp I should set my Nikon D300s to - I've set it to 5500K ATM

Dave, I also set my color temp to Auto. If you are shooting in RAW then color temp can be adjusted to taste in lightroom / adobe camera raw, etc. Optimal color temps also depends on the color temp of your strobes (e.g. - ikelite has warmer light than Inon/Sea & Sea)
For motion blur, use ISO 100, small aperture and a slow shutter speed, try between 1/4 second and 1/15th of a second.. your flash will freeze the shark head, and the slow shutter speed will blur the background that is lit by ambient light.

Hi Dave,
The only thing I'd add to Scott's post is remember at those small f-stops your going to be at or near full power on your strobes. The closer you can get to the sharks the better.
