diffuser on housing

I have an Olympus PT-043 housing. I just bought a Inon wide angle lens. I had to buy an adapter in order to use this lens on my housing. I had to remove the diffuser off the housing in order to use this adapter. I also have a Ikelite AF-35 strobe. Any ideas on how I can put the diffuser back on? I can't just cover up my flash because I think it needs that for the strobe to detect when it should go off?? Any ideas on how to solve this issue.... leaving for belize in a week.

You can attach the fiber optic to the strobe window and use black tape everywhere else. No worries
