what color setting to use

I have a Canon IXUS100is camera which has various colour setting (Vivid Blue, Vivid Green, Vivid red ect). What setting is best to use while diving? I currently do not use a stobe while taking pictures.

After some hesitation I would say: try the vivid red. Because red colours dissapear quickly when going under water perhaps boosting what is left might help although a good red filter or a so called magic filter will probably give a better result

I would use the underwater setting personally and then use software to adjust hue appropriately.
