All Things Underwater Photography
While not an underwater photographer myself, I am a friend of Scottie's and always look to forward to coming here to see his latest underwater masterpiece!
I run two diving blogs, my personal one, 'Rapture of the Deep' [http://raptureofthedeep.org] and another one devoted to assisting shark researchers gather data on Sevengill shark encounters in California, 'Seven Gill Shark Sightings,' [http://sevengillsharksightings.org].
If you happen to be lucky enough to capture a Sevengill shark either on video or still, feel free to head on over to the Sevengill site, fill out the Sevengill Encounter data form, and if you like, you can submit your photo and/or video to me and I will give it a watermark with your name on it and it will be placed on a secure server, with 'right click download protection' and it will be entered into our confidential database for use by shark researchers--not for distribution on the Internet.
Note: if and when possible, we are looking for lateral and rear views of the shark which might show the presence of 'claspers,' indicating a male.
Thanks, and happy 'hunting' with cameras only!
