I've been diving for many years and have recently decided to use my Nikon D90 for a underwater photo from a point and shoot compact camera.
Since I'm still a beginner, I hope to learn a lot from this site, though I really wished I found the site before I went on my previous trip
I don't have many good pictures but for those who are interested:

I am originally from NY, and was planning to go back, but the ease of access to many southeast asia dive spots has made me stay in Japan for... almost 10 years
Looking forward to learning a lot from all of you!
Mari

hi Mari
welcome to the forum
wow, it looks like you've been to a lot of places - Maldives, Tahiti, La Paz, etc. Congrats on some great dolphin encounters in Tahiti.
So how is the diving in Japan, do you mainly go to Okinawa?

Thanks Scott.
I mainly go on a short weekend dive trips at a place called Izu, and go down to Okinawa once or twice a year. Besides the typhoon season, diving in Japan is awesome - encounters of wild dolphins, hammerheads, manta rays, etc.
Can't be compared with other places but Japan has its own beauty spots
