Where do you like to critter hunt?
Indonesia has always been a favorite of mine for Critter Hunting to include Lembeh, Ambon, Banda Sea, Bunaken, Wakatobi, and Bali.
The Philippines offer better value, but only Anilao comes close to Lembeh in the nudi / strange critters. Dumaguete closed it's wonderful pier, Bohol, Cebu, and Puerto Galera are good, but often can not equal most Indonesian diving, imho.

hi Larry - I love the golden triangle (Phillipines, indonesia) but there's some decent critter hunting at redondo beach in southern california also.

Have to chime in with critter hunter re: Lembeh. Lembeh should be on everybody's list! But best ever - black sand beach, Alor chain, Pantar Is, Indonesia with (late) Larry Smith. Every pipefish & frogfish & occy & seahorse that you've ever wished for. Hard to get to but worth it.
