Philippines for diving in August

I live in Hawaii and our local airline sent me a special fare of $400 to Manilla if I travel in July or August. I have read the weather can be bad that time of year. Any of you been there this time of year.......

I have not been there then. I know that the resorts in Anilao are closed down in July and August because of the weather.
